This week I've been working with my first graders on so and mi. I was looking all over for some good flashcards to teach them this important concept. I couldn't find any so I made my own!
I tried them with my kids today and they loved it! First, I started them off with the flashcards that were labeled. Then, once I felt they mastered those enough I went through the ones that were unlabeled. Their favorite part was when I gave them each a card to practice on their own. That was my favorite part too! Hearing how quickly these kids picked up the so and mi interval was amazing!
And the end I said "Wow, you all are reading music". The excitement in their eyes was priceless <3
You can get my flashcard set in my TpT store

I am a K-4 music teacher, music director at a growing church, and vocal coach. So, this blog is going to be all things music. Join me as I become a better teacher and musician. It's certainty going to be a journey!
